The ‘natural’ world follows rules, described by physics and chemistry. Biology follows these rules; apple seeds grow apple trees.
The human spirit is not ‘natural’, but it resides inside a ‘natural’ body. The spirit is designed to be free and to act on the natural world. (This is what creativity is all about, and a part of what it means to be made in the image of God)
A complication is that humans, like God, can make promises and decisions. This means you can be the subject of another person’s promises and decisions, and they can oppress or bless. It’s not destiny, it’s what happens when multiple people have free choice.
